Eric Rosen Architects is a creative architecture, interior design and construction management practice in Culver City, CA providing innovative solutions to both commercial and residential projects. We are seeking someone who is experienced in architecture and construction to work full time with a design, construction and development team on a variety of commercial and residential projects in the Los Angeles area.  The role will be weighted toward construction management and construction site interaction while utilizing architectural skills to help determine design solutions communicated through construction documents.  Direct report will be to the principal architects/construction managers. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, personable, and can communicate clearly.

•Ability to think like an architect with experience in construction and the daily operations of a construction project.
•Ability to read architectural plans and communicate questions to other members of the architectural team and help problem solve.
•Ability to manage the on-site work for consistency with the construction documents and directives from other members of the architectural team.
•Ability and experience to coordinate and communicate with multiple trades on site concurrently.
•Ability to communicate daily with the superintendent in order to process communications to other members of the architectural team via RFI’s, daily reports, punch lists, etc.
•Ability to be a diligent problem solver.
•Ability to be proactive rather than reactive during the construction process.
•Ability to assist in the set up and use of online construction. management software and to keep information updated regularly.
•Ability to be organized, forward thinking and detail oriented.
•Ability to manage a plan and to manage a detailed construction schedule.
•Ability to coordinate inspections and experience working with inspectors.
•Experience with typical construction administration and site coordination issues such as:    
            - equipment rental (cranes, bobcats, core drilling, etc.)    
            - purchasing of miscellaneous site tools and materials    
            - clean up and trash hauling (drop off/pickup of dumpsters)   
            - traffic control (if needed for cranes, etc.)    
            - means and methods assessment with subs    
            - schedule management
•Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

The ideal candidate has actual construction experience who is willing to get their hands dirty and assist with miscellaneous trade work when small items come up needing immediate attention.
